Purpose of the job

To maintain the Vessel Management Software (VMS) and provide support to the organization in using the VMS and other systems in use. Support other departmental staff by executing assigned tasks in various improvement projects.

Accountability and Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and optimizing the vessel maintenance strategy within the Vessel Maintenance System (VMS).
• Collaborate closely with Group Fleet Administrators on document filing and ticket follow-ups.
• Provide technical support and expertise to shore staff and crew regarding the maintenance of technical equipment and the content of the VMS.
• Support the implementation and management of other systems within the Fleet Department as required.
• Deliver guidance and training to shore staff and crew on the effective use of the VMS and related systems maintained by the Fleet Department.
• Assist the Group Fleet Performance Engineer in ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations across all assets.
• Contribute to various Group Fleet Department projects aimed at improving the operational and technical management of the fleet.

Requirements for the position

Educational background:             

• Bachelor, HBO or Higher professional education or degree in a Technical or nautical related field

Work experience:                          

• Relevant experience in the maritime/offshore industry
• 1 year of relevant work experience in the maritime sector

The successful candidate must be living in the Netherlands and being able to work in the Netherlands (being a local or in possession of a work permit). The language in our office is English.
