Job description
This is a unique opportunity for a bright and driven Research Manager to be part of the exciting journey of further growing our Mixed Domain team. On the team you will interact with CPG clients on a diverse set of business objectives and use a wide array of solutions to tackle strategic marketing challenges. Using a mixture of Innovation and Brand Communication expertise, you will assist major brands with tactical and strategic decisions.
You will join our team in Rotterdam or London as a Research Manager, lead studies as a consultant, build strong relationships with our clients, and advise them through delivering clear and actionable insights.
In this role, imagine yourself being responsible for the following:
- Client management: you will be leading, growing and nurturing different clients independently. You are encouraged to take ownership of both well-established accounts and new ones. The goal is to develop partnerships with a long-term view, based on trust and expertise!
- Project management: you will be leading and supervising project teams from the proposal writing phase, up until and including the project delivery.
- Account management: as Manager you will join one of our biggest CPG account team and our new accounts team. These teams get together to discuss trends, opportunities and other relevant topics for the accounts they work on.
- You will be guiding the work of Analysts, helping them with their growth and career development.
Additionally, there are a lot of different ways to grow and take on more responsibility in the role. See some of these growth paths below:
- Through SKIMs different internal expertise networks. A lot of the team’s work is in Communications and Innovation. The internal expertise networks linked to these areas are continuously growing our thought leadership and developing new methods and solutions. Besides projects, you can take on additional responsibilities in one of these networks and grow into a pillar-leading role.
- Becoming an account lead: developing the strategic plan for an account and leading a team of people who are focused on the account.
- Career management of Analysts. Besides having direct reports, you can also manage Analysts’ career paths by becoming their GPS (Grow, Perform, Succeed) manager.
- Taking on a more active role in training-related activities, or onboarding of new employees.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have prior consulting/client-service and research experience on the agency or client side. We are looking for someone with the following profile:
- 4-6 years of relevant work experience within market research on the agency or client side
- Experience with leading ad-hoc research methods
- The ability to independently run projects and client contact
- A combination of strong strategic thinking and a hands-on, process-driven approach
- The ability to turn complex business issues and data into simple and actionable recommendations
- An affinity for client management and relationship building with your clients
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to deliver with and through others
- Experience with conjoint methodologies and virtual shelf tests is a plus
- You are authorised to work in the Netherlands or the UK (resident, citizen, valid visa or other)
